The city's utility bill includes water, sewer, recycling, storm drainage, street lighting, and a water testing charge assessed by the state of Minnesota.
Rates for all utilities are based on the funding required to cover operation, maintenance, and capital costs. They are reviewed on an annual basis to determine if funding levels are adequate to cover current and anticipated costs. The city of New Hope does not operate a private water supply well and our water is purchased from Minneapolis.
How to pay your utility bill
Utility bills are sent to utility customers at the end of each month. All payments must be received by the due date to avoid a five percent penalty.
