Looking to refresh your outdoor gear without spending a dime? Or ready to pass along items you no longer use? A Swap-It event is coming to Crystal this spring, making it easy to reuse, save money and reduce waste.
Hosted by Hennepin County and operated by Reuse Minnesota, Swap-It events invite residents to bring gently used items and exchange them for free with others in the community.
Outdoor Gear Swap on May 2 in Crystal
- Saturday, May 2, noon to 2:30 p.m.
- Rockford Road Library, 6401 42nd Ave
This event will focus on outdoor gear, making it a great opportunity to swap items like camping equipment, sports gear, yard games and more.
How it works
- Bring clean, gently used outdoor items you no longer need.
- Browse and take home items that are new to you at no cost.
- No money is exchanged, just a simple swap.
Important note
Early drop off begins at 11 a.m. and is for drop off only. Swapping begins at noon. Final items will be accepted until 2 p.m.
Why participate?
Swap-It events are part of Hennepin County’s broader zero-waste initiatives, which aim to reduce the amount of usable materials entering the trash. By reusing items, residents help conserve resources, reduce environmental impact and support a more sustainable community.
