Community Service Officer Awarded Scholarship

On May 22, New Hope Police Department Community Service Officer DeMeshé Baker received the Law Enforcement Opportunities Steve Cannon Memorial Scholarship at an award presentation at the Mall of America. New Hope Police Chief Tim Hoyt and Captains Scott Slawson and Dave Johnson attended the event. This scholarship honors individuals who demonstrate dedication to achieving their goals in life.

Community Service Officer Baker is currently a student at Metropolitan State University and serves in the Air National Guard at the 133rd Air Lift Wing. The scholarship's selection criteria included participation in community service and academic excellence.
