New Hope's Night to Unite is Aug. 6, 2024
What is Night to Unite (formerly National Night Out)?
New Hope's Night to Unite (formerly National Night Out) is an annual community-building campaign held on the first Tuesday in August.
Night to Unite promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our New Hope neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. It is an excellent opportunity to speak with police officers, city staff, elected officials and representatives from organizations that serve the City of New Hope.
Neighborhoods host various events, including block parties, cookouts, ice cream socials, sharing of safety and crime prevention strategies, visits from police, neighborhood walks, contests and more.
This year marks the 41st anniversary of the event, and more than 38 million people across the country are expected to participate.
Can I block my street for my party?
The process for requesting to block a street for a party on Night to Unite works differently than any other day of the year.
If you want to block your street for your Night to Unite party and request barricades, submit your completed party registration by Friday, June 28.
The City orders barricades in advance and is unable to accommodate requests received after the due date.
Registration
The registration deadline is Friday, June 28 for requesting barricades and Friday, July 19 for parties not requesting barricades. Complete registration as soon as possible, especially if you want to request a visit for your event.
The first 50 parties to register are eligible for a free party pack including plates, napkins and silverware.
The Ultimate New Hope Night to Unite Experience
One lucky registered party will be randomly chosen for the Ultimate New Hope Night to Unite Experience.
The Ultimate Experience includes:
- A catered barbeque meal for your party
- Drop-in visits from police, fire and city staff
