The New Hope City Council recognized the winners of the 2025-2026 Snowman/Snow Sculpture Contest during its April 27 council meeting. Sponsored by the New Hope Citizen Advisory Commission (CAC), the annual contest encourages residents to get outside, enjoy the winter season and showcase their creativity through snowmen and snow sculptures.
This year’s contest featured 11 entries from New Hope individuals, families, neighborhoods and groups.
The winners are as follows:
First Place: “Panda’monium in New Hope” by Caleb Wambach

Second Place: “Catrat” by June McGuire

Third Place: “Chillin’ with our Gnomie” by Kenna Witter

The New Hope Snowman/Snow Sculpture Contest began in 2017 after the Citizen Advisory Commission discussed ideas for a fun winter activity that would help bring attention to the community and encourage residents to enjoy the outdoors during the colder months.
Entrants had until March 31 to their creations. Following the deadline, entries were forwarded to commissioners for judging. Winners had the option to choose between a cash prize or a certificate toward a New Hope Parks and Recreation program.
