Voter Information
City‐administered elections are held in even numbered years. In 2024, New Hope voters have three opportunities to cast their ballot:
- Presidential Nomination Primary - March 5
- Primary Election - Aug. 13
- General Election - Nov. 5
The city clerk and elections office are available to answer your questions about voter registration and elections. The city clerk administers city, state and federal elections.

Time Off to Vote
State statute gives eligible voters the right to be absent from work for the time necessary to vote on Election Day and before Election Day when in-person voting is permitted without penalty or loss of salary or wages.
