Insight and recommendations from several advisory boards and commissions help to bring a community-wide perspective to New Hope policy discussions.
Each of New Hope’s four standing advisory groups focus on a different range of issues. Local residents and business people are appointed by the City Council and meet regularly to discuss issues of local importance and make recommendations to the Council. Advisory commission members serve the community as volunteers.

Those interested in applying for a commission should complete and return an application. The New Hope City Council will make appointments following applicant interviews.

West Metro Fire Relief Association Opening
The West Metro Fire-Rescue District (WMFRD) Board of Directors is seeking one Crystal or New Hope resident with financial management background to serve as a trustee for West Metro Firefighters Relief Association. Appointments are one year. Firefighters and elected officials are excluded.
The West Metro Fire-Rescue District provides fire services to the cities of Crystal and New Hope through response, prevention and education. The West Metro Fire Relief Association oversees its membership’s monthly benefit service pension and is managed by a board of nine trustees.
