It's National Voter Registration Day- make sure you are registered to vote! It’s quick and easy to check your registration status and register online at If you’ve had a name or address change, or haven’t voted in the last four years, you will need to re-register. Registration may be done in advance online, in-person or by mail through Oct. 13. Eligible voters may also register when absentee voting or at their polling place on Election Day, Nov. 3.

Visit to register online. You will need your Minnesota driver’s license or Minnesota identification card number, or the last four numbers or your Social Security number.

Register on Election Day
You can register or update your registration when you vote, whether that is at your polling place on Election Day or when absentee (early) voting. You will need proof of residence to register.
