Construction of the new New Hope Police Station and City Hall continues to progress on schedule. Those who have come by the site on Xylon Ave. over the last few weeks are getting a strong sense of what the outside of the building will look like.

Here’s the latest construction updates:

Windows and curtain walls on the city hall side are being installed and glass is being set in place. The glazing crews will start installing frames and glass on the Police side in the coming weeks.

Much of the facility’s concrete has now been poured, including the ramps and steps inside the Council Chambers, and all the interior slabs (with the exception of the lower level garage and the Sally Port).

Over the next three weeks on the city hall side, in-wall electrical and plumbing is scheduled to be completed along with installation of HVAC duct work. Installation of fire sprinkler piping is scheduled to start next week

On the police station side, EPDM roofing is scheduled to be completed by the end of this week, and the helical piles for the sally port are now finished. Complete framing of all walls is scheduled to start in several weeks.

Stud framing has begun on both City Hall and Police sides. Gypsum wallboard will start to be installed the middle of November.
