Posted on 03/08/2019
New Hope is now only about four months from moving into its new city hall/police station as more and more construction projects are nearing completion.

Latest construction updates include:

Drywall is complete across the facility, and interior painting is finishing up on the city hall side of the building and then painters will be moving to the police station side of the building.

The ceiling grid in city hall has been installed and crews are now working on lighting, sprinkler and HVAC drops in the ceiling.

Crews will start installing tile on the city hall side in early March. Exterior door frames are being installed, along with metal coping on the parapets of both city hall and police station. Carpet and other floor coverings will be installed on the city hall side later in March.

The audio visual equipment/installation contract will be presented at the March 11 City Council meeting. Upcoming bid considerations include current city hall demolition, landscaping/parking/park, theater construction, skate park construction, and pool construction, all of which will be reviewed at the March 25 City Council meeting.
